As I've gotten older and matured, I've noticed that new year's resolution(s) are seriously thought about and considered at least 2 to 3 months before January 1. We all really take the time out to focus on the things we want to change or do differently... But then we wait. Why? I thought about that over the weekend while speaking to a cousin of mine and decided I'm going to start now, I'm still me and whatever it is still must be changed so I mine-as-well get a head start.
New years resolutions can be dangerous that way... They make us wait on a decision that we make for ourselves out of the love we have for ourselves. I remember someone asking Will Smith (awhile back) what his resolution was and he said, "I don't believe in them... I just change now in that moment".
So let's make good on those choices made in love... Today
MUAH do it big.

I stop making New Years resolutions when I realized that it was kinda dumb to wait to change. If I recognize that there is something that needs to be changed, i'll start as soon as I recognize it.
ReplyDeleteHey Machielle, thank you so much. I'm glad your Spirit is receiving something from mine. :0) Love ya back. MUAH
ReplyDeleteHey "That Dude..." That is the only way to get things done, in my opinion. Waiting to change a flat tire just doesn't make sense to me. :0)
