Can I ask you a question… Do you really like yourself? I know that sounds crazy, but it is a question that I think we should seriously consider and answer with integrity – I’m not listen, so go ahead and answer it. While here in ATL, I’ve realized that there are a lot of people who could not be alone with themselves for this long; because they don’t enjoy their own company, they have to be distracted by something or someone else.
This spills into other aspects of your life. Think about it. If you don’t like being alone, you wont exercise alone, meditate alone, pray alone, read alone, study alone, be good to yourself alone… and your appreciation of yourself relies on someone else’s schedule. WOW that was pretty deep.
We must learn to take care of ourselves at all cost. It may be hard at first but it must be done. Begin by being grateful for who you are first, then slowly look at the things you want to change and then…. CHANGE THEM. It’s ok you’ll love you so much more for it.
I love ya already. MUAH!

Currently, I do not like myself. I do not like where I sit with my physical appearance, nor with my educational stance. The only thing I like about myself is the way I treat other people.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I came to the realization last year that nothing will change unless I change it. That is why I am starting to focus on my education and my future career. I have found a direction, and have two paths before me. I am not sure which one I will take, but I know I will get to where I want to be. Physically, I have hated myself for years. I am tired of hating myself. I am, instead, going to learn to love myself with all my flaws so that I can address them and change them. I have been going to the gym at 6am because that is the only time I am able. I have been altering my diet and not eating out as much as I normally would have. I have also enlisted the help of my husband to keep me on track by supporting me and offering healthier ideas than my natural responses.
These changes have help redirect my energies and my focus. Surprisingly, they have also altered my state of mind. I feel better about myself and the world around me. I have a long way to go to get where I want to be, but I know the path and am prepared to walk it.
Thank you for your inspirational updates and your hilarious YouTube videos!
Be safe and God Bless.
Please forgive my late reply, time has been moving quite quickly lately. It is comments like this that encourage me to keep going. Whoever you are, You my dear have been a blessing to me! I want to hear more about this wonderful Life you are now living. AND I want to point out that the vulnerability you showed your husband (and in this response) is key to amazing success. Don't ever be ashamed of who you are and what you need. Thank you again, Love! MUAH, Megan
