What’s the Cure?

Many times we find ourselves with an ailment that literally debilitates us mentally, emotionally, physically and Spiritually. A story was told of a man who laid on the porch of the CURE (hospital) for 38 years and never went inside to be healed. He had every excuse in the world, why he was unable to go that extra two steps to freedom. Finally, one day, Wisdom came by and asked him, “Are you READY for your healing?”

That question caused the man to self reflect; “Am I pitting myself?, Do I actually like being sick?, What am I even sick from?” When he was able to really look at himself and answer these questions he was FREED!

What is the cure for the illness you’ve been holding on to for decades? Whatever it is the answer is in your DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

MUAH, have an awesome day.

Birds of a Feather.

A female preacher once said, "If you want to fly with the eagles, you must stop walking with the pigeons." WOW! Who's the pigeon in your life? We all have or have had someone/something in our lives holding us back... keeping us from our greatest potential. It is time to try out our wings. Fly high into your imagination, grasp your wildest dreams into the clutches of your hand, and count your blessings.

You're worth more then just the noise you make on a brick roof-top.

Think about it.....

I'm coming out

Do you hold your religion above God? Wait now, think about that before you answer. What I'm asking is, do you do things during the week that the people at your church don't know about? Why Megan what do you mean? God knows what we do everyday and if it's about God then why do we stop when we go to church? Seems to me that our religion is being held at a higher standard then our personal relationship with He who we're going to worship.

Im coming out of that hypocritical way of living. Being in the closet does not hide you from you. Whatever that closet contains, set it free!

DE-Stress your life

Most don’t really believe in DE-STRESS’ing…. I’m a firm believer of it. If it’s causing you grief, learn the lesson from the experience and move on. Learning the lesson is the hardest thing, especially if you’re not open to that lesson being about a personal flaw… in your character. But when we are open to it, we can begin the DE-stress journey.

For those of us that need lessons over and over again (hard-headed like me), we take ourselves through unnecessary pain and grief, because we are simply being stubborn. Take it from me, give up whatever makes you cry… those are not tears of joy.

I've Moved OUT...

My dear childhood friend (Jeri Ann Austin) sang this song and Good Sam many many years ago and it always stuck with me. "I've moved out to a brand new life". The Bible tels us to work while it's day, so whatever you're waiting on, I suggest you wait NOT!

Moving to a new state has really given me a better perspective on taking care of business, my love ones, and MYSELF.

Move out to your brand new life today, don't wait for him, her, that, them, or even your children to go to college.... MOVE NOW! Don't be comfortable in your discomfort, it will become your NORMAL!

A Side Note...

Letting go of something or someone may seem heart-breakingly unbearable... BUT then days go by and you realize what was once for you, simply no longer fits. As more time goes by, the awareness of that thing or person's existence in your life was for a reason, (that it took you this long to get, not a season and certainly not a lifetime, all of the unnecessary turmoil you endured unveils its purpose.

"Through pain and suffering..." Buddhist believe that through pain and suffering you grow you, you succeed. So go through that hard time, let those tears fall, so that you can reach the other side.

I Am that I AM

There are a few quotes, stories, examples... whatever word you want to use, in the Bible that I really like, one of which is God response to Moses... "I AM that I AM" Powerful right? Just writing it makes me shiver. In my uncle's book "Go On!" He gives a thorough explanation of this statment, here is an excerpt;
"The name "I AM THAT I AM" reflects the nearness and availability of God, and that is the fact that it is spoken in what the Hebrews labeled the causative case. In the final analysis, the universe has only two kinds of existence: self-existence and created existence. It is, of course, the former by which God here portrays HImself, and it is not just self-existence but creative existence that is implied as well." - Calvin B. Rock

I am that I am always gave me power to be, simply BE who I AM, because He that lives in Us is greater, am I right?! This simplistically complex statement gives us the right to upfront and personal with Who and What we really are... and be OK with it. Ofcourse our daily journey is to grow and be better then we were yesterday... but you know what I'm saying. :0)
