In the Morning

I can not stress how wonderful it has been for me to have a practice. Every morning, regardless of any circumstances, I sit down write out what I’m grateful for, meditate, pray and listen to a song that fills my heart with a smile. This has changed my life for the better.

I’m sure most of us were taught to pray when we rise and when we go to sleep, but I believe it has become mechanical, don’t you? We’re really not acknowledging, we’re not really dwelling in our moments of petition when we ramble through the same redundant verbiage, are we?

So try something different. I read this somewhere a long time ago, about changing your prayers around. Instead of asking simply thank. Instead of praying for family, be specific and call their names and issues.

Make it a point to honor yourself with a practice of worship, it will make a difference.

What to do?

So after you get over that which ailed you, what do you do with the results? Learn from it, grow from it, but don’t punish yourself for it. We tend to slap ourselves around because we’ve “just seen the light”, but that’s ok, because everything happens in due time. Bishop Pearson said something that I will never forget, “death is just a shift in consciousness.” If you believe that or can just acknowledge it, you will see it’s NEVER TOO LATE. Never too late to change, never to late to evolve, never too late to re-choose.

This power of choice thing isn’t only related to “whom you will serve”, it’s a daily on-going internal, eternal manifestation of your truth… Just gotta figure out what that truth is.

Be patient with yourself, be open to change, be YOU.

Know Your Buttons

Can we really get mad at someone for pissing us off? (yes I said pissing… it’s my blog LOL) My answer to this question is No. Energy and vibrations are very real, so when you wear your buttons on your sleeve you might want to expect them getting pushed.

Now what does this mean? GET OVER IT! LOL you didn’t think I was going there huh? Our buttons are simply old wounds that we haven’t allowed to heal. I use the word allowed because natural law wants a wound to heal, whether physical or emotional, but we refute that healing process for fear of loosing our identity, our worth, our significance, whatever it is… whatever the reason… we hold desperately on to that which pains us to even think about. That thought is attracting more attention to the wound, bringing more pain. Bringing more people in, giving even more attention to that sore!

Heal your wounds, Heal your pain, Heal your Spirit! Then no one can tick you off… this is just my thought.

MUAH, Are you having a good day? Well you should be!

Rest

I had what I'd call an emotionally charged saturday and saturday night. Being as sensitive to my emotions as I am, I knew I had to recoop from such a rollercoaster. I remembered a old associate of mine told me that she sleeps alot to keep herself looking young... But I needed it to keep myself sane. So that's exactly what I did...I slept. I didn't turn my ringer down, I turned the phone off! The entire day yesterday was spent relaxing and cuddling myself.
I'm scared to ask how long it's been since you rested... Not relaxed but actually rested.
You may not be able to do that today but please find the time for you... You're no good to anyone if you're not first good to you.

Love ya!!!

Finally Forgiven

In a conversation with a friend last night, my parents came up. My mouth opened and out came, “I was truly blessed with two of thee most talented people in the world. They weren’t perfect but because of them, I’m me and I’m so grateful to God for my parents…” At the time I wasn’t really paying that much attention to what I said, but this morning my eyes filled with tears of joy and pride. I have finally forgiven! We say it all the time don’t we? “Oh I forgave that person, blah, blah” But Oprah said forgiveness is what? The moment you no longer wish things had been different to begin with. As I type the tears are streaming down my face because I wouldn’t have my life be any other way.

Remember it’s not the trails, it’s the journey. It’s not the test, it’s His Love. What a wonderful blessing to be free from regret.

Thanks Mommy and Daddy!

Have a blessed day!

The Creator Creates

I really feel like being down-in-the-dumps today, but can’t… crap! When I woke up this morning, I just put my head down and sighed, then I remembered who I am and what I am. I am a creation that can creates! I create my happiness, my joy, my peace, my love, my day. And at that moment the crabby-feast ceased and I was back to rejoicing (reluctantly, LOL).

When I went into my prayer and meditation followed by my practice of gratitude, I was no longer able to blame, sob, sigh, shrug… whatever... at this glorious morning, I could only say thank you and be responsible for what I do with my day. We are creating whether we know it or not.

So what will you create today? Pay attention, you’re doing it to yourself. Oouch!

Give it up turn it loose.

I sat with some friends of mine and my Spirit sobbed at the tumultuous atmosphere that had been created. While sitting and listening I said to myself, “Wow I’ve got to pray over this.” As the night progressed things became even more grim and I simply felt heavy. But this morning while doing my morning practice, while praying for them, I said, literally, “God, You may have this problem, done!” and I didn’t say another word. (pertaining to that). Instantly I felt relieved and satisfied. I like that, satisfied. Because I know for a fact that God heard me and is more then willing to take that on.

Giving up that which ails you does not mean that you don’t care, it means you care about YOU. We can all say we have something that we need to give up and turn loose… What are you waiting for?
